Where the Uptown Funk AI trend comes from

Uptown Funk is Mark Ronson's 2014 hit featuring Bruno Mars. In early October 2026 an AI-made clip put tech CEOs — Elon Musk, Jensen Huang, Mark Zuckerberg, Sam Altman and others — in suits, dancing to it on a city street. It spread across X, YouTube and Bilibili, and people started asking how to make the same video with their own faces. This generator does exactly that, with your photos instead of real celebrities.

FAQ

Uptown Funk AI — FAQ

What is the Uptown Funk AI video trend?+

In October 2026 an AI parody spread on X: tech CEOs including Elon Musk, Jensen Huang, Mark Zuckerberg and Sam Altman, in suits, dancing in the street to Uptown Funk, the 2014 Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars song. People then started using AI to swap in themselves, friends, bosses and coworkers. That is what this Uptown Funk AI video generator does with your photos.

How does the Uptown Funk AI generator work?+

Photo upload is turned off, so you cannot make this video yet. Once it is open: Upload one lead photo, add up to three crew photos at no extra cost, and press Generate. The lead sings to the camera up front, the crew replace the backup dancers in upload order, and every move follows the template. Faces, skin tone and hair come from the photos; the suits come from the template. You get a 15-second video with no sound, in 480p by default or 720p if you choose. It may not look exactly like the people in the photos.

Can I put my friends in the crew?+

Yes. Add up to three friends, one person per photo; they replace the backup dancers in upload order, and any spots you leave empty keep the template dancers. Extra photos cost nothing, but crew faces usually match less closely than the lead. Everyone must be an adult who agreed to be in the video.

Does the video include the Uptown Funk song?+

No. The video is silent: we do not supply the song, an AI cover or a voice clone. When you post on TikTok, Reels or Shorts, pick the Uptown Funk sound inside the app.

How long does it take?+

You cannot make a video yet. Once you can, it usually takes 5–8 minutes, and up to about 15 at busy times. You can keep the page open, or close it and come back later in the same browser — the finished video waits in the generator. A failed render returns the credits automatically.

Is it free?+

No. A 480p video uses 100 credits and a 720p video 300, and packs start at $9.99 for 100 credits — one-time, not a subscription. Purchased credits are not refundable; if a render fails or times out, the credits go back to your balance. You cannot buy a pack yet.

How do I pay?+

The payment method is PayPal: a PayPal balance or a card PayPal accepts. You cannot buy a pack yet. If the buy button says Unavailable, checkout is not ready. Other payment methods are not offered.

Can I use a celebrity's or my boss's photo?+

No public figures, strangers or children. Your boss, coworkers and friends are fine if they agreed to be in it. The original CEO clip is an AI parody; we do not remake real celebrities.

Can I post it on TikTok, Reels and Shorts?+

Yes, for personal sharing. Turn on the AI-generated label where the platform offers one. This site is not affiliated with Mark Ronson, Bruno Mars, their labels, or any company or person from the original clip.

How do I download, and what are the limits?+

Download the finished video from this website while you are signed in. You only get the finished video for that task, saved as uptown-funk-ai.mp4. Limits: 100 credits per 480p video or 300 credits per 720p video, 15 seconds, no sound. One lead photo plus up to three crew photos, each JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 10 MB. There is no free video.

What happens to my photos?+

Photo upload and video generation are turned off. We do not accept a photo for this video until photo retention is confirmed in the site settings. Finished videos, once created, stay available to download and are not removed by photo cleanup. Email support@uptownfunkaivideo.com to delete a photo or video sooner.
